Unhealthy Habits That Cause Bloated Stomach

Nearly everyone has experienced gas, bloated stomach and acid reflux in their life. Acid reflux is not common but gas and bloating is quite common and really uncomfortable. There are many habits which increases the chances of bloating and gas. We are sharing three most common habits which can lead to bloating and avoiding them can reduce the chance of abdominal bloating and gas.

Unhealthy diet

Unhealthy diet contains greater amount of carbohydrate and improper digestion of carbohydrate leads to bloating. Besides this, eating packed food and too much dependence on medicine is also responsible for bloated stomach

Carbs and protein together

Starch digests faster than protein. When starch and protein are taken together, starch will digest faster but will remain in stomach for longer time due to protein. It will ferment starch and release gas and result in bloated stomach.

Some specific behaviors

Excess air is taken in to stomach during chewing gum and sucking on hard candy. Drinking carbonated beverages with meals also result in excess air to be taken to stomach. Avoid this to decrease abdominal bloating.
